Duties:
Reception
- To deal with all admin tasks completing and/or assigning as needed to other users – see flow chart in reception for appropriate end user
- Fit Requests – check to see who issued last fit note and use the Assign to send it to them. If previous issuer is on annual leave, assign to “Duty Doctor”
Duty Doctor
- To deal with all Medical tasks. Note: These do not need to be moved or actioned by reception team.
- Will respond to patients with either a message or a booking link as appropriate. This can be to either a group of clinicians or specified ones. Can also be to other services (Pharmacist, Physio, etc)
- Will assign to various members as appropriate if they are unable to complete themselves.

Tips:
- When assigning to another user, please do not mark the task as done as this will close the request and the person you are sending it too will not be aware of it.
- Try to ensure that your own AccuRx inbox is empty so that you can see when new items are in your inbox. Mark messages as done when complete to take them out of your inbox
- Make sure to use the Save to Record for any information that needs to be saved to a patient record.
- If a request comes in and is not “matched” to an existing patient record, please check contact details to see if they match what we currently hold.
- If for an adult, assume that the new details are correct and current and update patient record.
- If for a child check details against parents/guardians and add alternate number to record.
- When assigning a message to another user, please use the notes box to inform the new recipient why you have passed it onto them to make it easier to understand reasoning for assignment.
